A website in an investment - isn’t it?
Posted on April 2009 in Articles
I’ve been doing website design and development for over 7 years and I’m surprised by the number have people who don’t see a website as an asset. On average a good website lasts over 3 years, so if you take a professionally developed and marketed website that would work out around £50.00 per month. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that if you are a holiday cottage or hotel that £50 equals one booking! Now, if a professionally created website doesn’t give you more bookings your website has been developed by the wrong people. This is a rant, because in most cases a website is an asset, your best marketing tool that should last a very long time.
If your current website hasn’t made you a penny it doesn’t mean that websites are a waste of money it was probably developed by the wrong people in the first place.
